We are so happy to finally be able to share the first issue of our zine – Recycle. Woooo!
This delightful bite sized collection of poetry, photography, essay, illustration and mixed media was submitted in response to the provocation ‘What does recycling mean to you?’ Each artist responded with a uniquely different interpretation of recycling in relation to culture, values, language, materials, memory and embodiment and archiving. Featuring works spanning Tokelau, Rotuma, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, foreword written by Talanoa’s founder Arieta Rika and afterword written by our Creative Director, Emele Ugavule. Contributions from:
