Josua ‘Ake’s latest documentary is a beautiful short that follows the impact of climate change on beekeeping, and a new initiative started by OHAI and Tonga Skills in the Kingdom of Tonga to change this.

“As honey bee population decreases around the world it is more evident in the country with 100,000 people, Tonga. Tonga currently does not have commercial beekeeping and they rely on finding honey bees either in forests or old houses. Both these locations are under threat from climate change in the tropical islands of Tonga. Now OHAI and Tonga Skills have joined together to fund this beekeeping training in efforts to increase the bee population in Tonga and to ensure the sustainability of beekeeping in Tonga.”
